Josh Arrington - CIAC Executive Director | Cougar Club Financial Director

Lisa Arrington - Strength and Agility Program Director (BUILD)

Josh and Lisa have been involved with Cougar Volleyball since it began in late 2019 as co-founders of the club. Josh is the executive director of Catalyst Initiative Athletic Club which is the non-profit society that Cougar Volleyball is under and manages our facility and finances. Josh is also one of our BUILD Strength & Agility trainers with a sports background in football and power lifting.

Lisa is an ACE Certified Athletic Trainer and she runs the BUILD Strength and Agility program for our club. Lisa has many years of experience playing volleyball and power lifting. She is passionate about athletes being healthy and strong both on and off the volleyball court.

James Tecson - Cougar Club Director

James has been involved with the volleyball community for over 12 years, having coached club, high school, youth, and adult clinics for Volleyball BC, the cities of Poco and Coquitlam. He has run a countless number of leagues, tournaments, and drop ins for beach, grass, and indoor volleyball, and is the founder of Poco Volleyball. He is currently the Head Coach for the Pinetree Secondary Senior and Junior Boys Teams.

As Club Director, James manages all high level decisions regarding operations of Cougar Volleyball.

Jonah Johnson - CEO of Bridge Athletics

Jonah played high level collegiate volleyball for Briercrest Clippers in Saskatchewan, and he has been a Cougars coach since 2020.

As CEO of Bridge, his main role is to support the club and clinic coaches, providing guidance regarding techniques and strategies to ensure that athletes in all age groups receive high-level, uniformed coaching. He also uses his financial background to support Josh with managing the club’s budget.

Zechariah Johnson: Technical Director of Bridge Athletics

Zec played five year of volleyball at UBC and one year at Bournemouth University in England. He currently plays professional beach volleyball in Vancouver and abroad.

Zec is in charge of designing and implementing all technical aspects of Cougar Volleyball. He supports the cougar coaches with technical cues, helps design season and practice structures, while supporting each coach and team best he can. Zec loves the game of Volleyball and hopes to assist more kids in their development every year.
