James
James has over 15 years of experience coaching high school, club & adult skills clinics for Volleyball BC & the City of Poco & Coquitlam’s Volleyball Programs. He head coached at Terry Fox for the Junior Girls Volleyball Team and led them to District Champions.
He head coached at Pinetree Secondary for both the Senior & Junior Boys Volleyball Teams. He currently head coaches the Pinetree Secondary Junior Boys Team & also serves as the Club Director for Cougar Volleyball.
James is also the founder of Poco Volleyball, a group whose mission is to build community & promote active living through the sport of volleyball for all ages. He has an immense passion for coaching and growing the sport . His favorite motto is “Never say I can’t, but always ask, “How can I ?”

Isaac's journey into volleyball began in late 2021, embracing the challenges of both indoor and beach play. Over two exciting years, he has dedicated himself to Head Coaching, teaching high school and club athletes across all genders and the pivotal 14U-18U levels.
Isaac's core mission is to create a team culture that is competitive yet fun. He thrives on helping athletes discover their potential by pushing them past their physical and mental comfort zones.
What he tries to instill in every athlete:

Club Fees for the season will be $1,775
***Sportlomo (VBC Insurance) registration is $82.95 & is NOT included in team fees***

Jerseys and other gear (Personal Ball)
3 Volleyball BC Tournaments
Provincials
Not included in Team fees:
Volleyball ‘sleeves’ (optional for jersey) $28/pair - available in Black and White
Nationals
Any other tournaments the team and coaching staff would like to participate in

Cougar Volleyball guarantees a safe and fair training environment where all coaches will treat athletes with respect. The expectation is that athletes treat each other, and all coaches, with respect as well.
Unless explicitly stated, play time will not be equal. Cougar Volleyball is a competitive club program and athletes will be awarded with more play time if they demonstrate competency in the following areas (in no particular order):
Athleticism
Ball Control
Positional Skill
Positive Attitude
Desire to Learn
Leadership
Attendance at Training
Commitment to the Team
Play time will not be decided by factors such as unsubstantiated favoritism or relationship with the coach.
If any athlete or parent has a complaint with their coach, please address it in the following manner:
1) WAIT at least 24-48 hours before any action.
2) Respectfully bring the issue forward with the coach, either in person or via email. Discuss and look to find a solution that works for both parties.
3) If conflict persists, send an email to rmcougarvolleyball@gmail.com with the nature of the concern and the administrative team at Cougars Volleyball will look to mediate the conflict.

Tryout fee is $35.00, this is non refundable. Please ensure you can make the time before you register for tryouts.
Tryouts are held at the Cougar Volleyball warehouse.

Sunday,November 30th
Wave 1: 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Wave 2: 4:30pm-6:30pm
Callback tryout:
Tuesday, December 2nd @ 7:00pm - 9:00pm
