Cougar Community
““Community is much more than belonging to something; it is about doing something together that makes belonging matter.””
At Cougar Volleyball our desire is to LEARN the Game, LOVE the Game, and LIVE the Game. That last part, to LIVE the game means more than athletic competition. It means more than winning a tournament, trying hard in practice, or competing at a high level. To LIVE the Game means to engage all things Cougar Volleyball and more specifically, to do things that will not only make the club better, but will go above and beyond to make a positive impact in the community of Ridge Meadows.
We want to be a club that engages our community and serves our community in ways seen and unseen. We want to be an encouragement and a source of pride and strength for Ridge Meadows as we seek to become a premier club in the Province of British Columbia. We aim to do this by getting involved with community events, serving local projects and organizations that aim to improve the lives of those who live in Maple Ridge, and to set the example for what student leadership looks like both on and off the court.
At Cougar Volleyball, our aim is to teach our players to value one another, but also to value our community and to take the initiative to lead the charge in improving our community as a whole not just on the court. We want to be great students, great children, great leaders, and great servants. We love Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge and our aim is to do all we can to make Cougar Volleyball an asset that our communities will love in return.
If you or someone you know would love to have players volunteer or parents and coaches volunteer from Cougar Volleyball let us know by emailing rmcougarvolleyball@gmail.com and we would love to come and be a part of serving you!
